Ring Chime Pro: A Smart Accessory for Your Ring Devices

If you have a Ring video doorbell or security camera, you know how convenient it is to see who’s at your door or monitor your home from anywhere. But what if you want to hear the notifications from your Ring devices without relying on your smartphone or tablet? Or what if you want to boost the wifi signal for your Ring devices to improve their performance and reliability? That’s where the Ring Chime Pro comes in.

Ring Chime Pro

The Ring Chime Pro is a wireless device that plugs into a standard power outlet and connects to your Ring devices via wifi. It has three main functions:

A white rectangular indoor chime with a blue light on the top and a speaker covered in light gray fabric.

– It acts as a chime that alerts you when someone presses your Ring doorbell or when motion is detected on your Ring camera. You can choose from a variety of tones and adjust the volume to your preference. You can also snooze the alerts if you don’t want to be disturbed.
– It acts as a wifi extender that boosts the wifi signal for your Ring devices, especially if they are too far from your router or have weak connectivity. You can easily set up the Ring Chime Pro in the Ring app and link it to your Ring devices. The app will guide you to find the best location for your Ring Chime Pro to optimize the wifi coverage.
– It acts as a nightlight that automatically turns on when it gets dark, providing a cozy glow and added peace of mind. You can also turn off the nightlight if you don’t need it.

The Ring Chime Pro is compatible with all existing Ring video doorbells and security cameras, and it works with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi networks. It has a sleek and modern design that blends well with any decor, and it measures 4.06 x 2.72 x 1.00 inches.

The Ring Chime Pro is an easy and affordable way to enhance your Ring experience and make your home more secure and comfortable. Here are some of the benefits of using the Ring Chime Pro:

A white rectangular device with a light blue light on the top and a speaker on the front. It is plugged into an electrical outlet.

– You can hear the notifications from your Ring devices anywhere in your home, even if your phone is out of reach or on silent mode. This way, you won’t miss any important events or visitors.
– You can extend the wifi range for your Ring devices, ensuring that they stay online and perform well. This can also reduce the battery drain and improve the video quality of your Ring devices.
– You can enjoy a built-in nightlight that adds a touch of ambiance and safety to your home. The nightlight can also help you find your way in the dark or soothe your kids who are afraid of the dark.

The Ring Chime Pro is suitable for anyone who owns a Ring video doorbell or security camera, or plans to buy one. It is especially useful for people who:

– Have a large home or multiple floors, where the wifi signal may be weak or inconsistent.
– Have thick walls or other obstacles that interfere with the wifi signal.
– Want to hear the notifications from their Ring devices without relying on their phone or tablet.
– Want to have a nightlight that automatically turns on when it gets dark.

The Ring Chime Pro is not the only device that can act as a chime or a wifi extender for your Ring devices. There are some alternatives that you can consider, such as:

– The Ring Chime, which is similar to the Ring Chime Pro, but without the wifi extender and nightlight features. It is cheaper and smaller than the Ring Chime Pro, but it only connects to 2.4 GHz wifi networks.
– The Amazon Echo or Google Home devices, which can be used as chimes for your Ring devices by enabling the Alexa or Google Assistant skills. They can also offer other smart features, such as voice control, music streaming, and more.

– The mechanical or digital doorbell chimes, which can be wired to your Ring video doorbell using an existing doorbell transformer. They can provide a traditional chime sound, but they may not be compatible with all models of Ring video doorbells.
– The IFTTT recipes, which can trigger various actions when your Ring device detects motion or rings, such as sending an email, playing a sound, turning on a light, and more. They require an IFTTT account and some technical skills to set up.

A silver rectangular-shaped device with a black speaker grille on the front and a blue light on the top. It is plugged into an electrical outlet and has a night light built in.

– “I’ve had a Ring Doorbell for quite a while now and recently installed a Ring Floodlight Cam over my garage for extra security and monitoring. I live in an older house with thick walls and unfortunately there are several internal walls and two exterior walls between my wifi router and the Ring Floodlight Cam and the wifi signal is very weak and constantly dropping out. I have several old routers laying around I could set up as a wifi bridge, but rather than go through all the hassle, for 60 bucks I thought I would try the Ring Chime Pro as an easier off the shelf solution first. Configuration was super easy and I had it up and working in less than five minutes. When my contractor first installed my Ring Doorbell, he hooked it up to my old mechanical doorbell so I could hear when somebody is at the door like before. However, after several months that stopped working. It is nice to now have an audible sound when somebody is at the door again, especially if I have guests and leave the house with my phone.”
– “Not very loud \”Upgraded\” from the 1st gen Pros nd can say that these look a lot better and Def feel a lot more sturdy and higher build qualitied. Cute night light function which is quite useful if needed. But… they are a lot quieter. The 1st gen chime pro were so loud (at max setting) it would show its build quality by kind of rattling the actual device. I had to set device at a lower volume. With these new 2nd gen devices, they are a lot more limited in terms are volume. The sound is much more crisp and rich (probably due to better build quality) but about 25 – 50% quieter (set 1st gen device to roughly 75% volume and it is still louder than 2nd gen at max volume). Installed two of these (one on the 1st floor nd another on the 2nd floor) nd honestly I feel like I heard my one 1st gen on the second floor better than these two 2nd gens. Looks wise… Def huge upgrade. Build quality… (1st impression) huge upgrade Sound quality… upgrade Sound volume… (maybe warning) not very loud at all”
– “At $49.99, the Chime Pro is an affordable way to breathe new life into your Ring smart system. It can improve the Wi-Fi to your doorbells or cameras, packs a punch with a loudspeaker and even has a nightlight feature that’s quite useful.”
– “The new and improved Pro is totally worth it. The Chime Pro comes with some very useful added features that make it superior to the standard Chime. The price of the Chime Pro is slightly higher than the original, but you will certainly get what you pay for.”

In conclusion, the Ring Chime Pro is a smart accessory for your Ring devices that can enhance your security and convenience at home. It can act as a chime, a wifi extender, and a nightlight, offering flexibility, reliability, and peace of mind. It is easy to set up and use, and it has a sleek design that fits any decor. It is compatible with all existing Ring video doorbells and security cameras, and it works with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi networks. It is suitable for anyone who owns or plans to buy a Ring device, especially if they have a large home or weak wifi signal.
